Document Actions Overview

Review the available Actions menu options below:

  • Re-Index Document(s) - Click to ensure that cached data related to the document is up to date.
  • Download Document - Click to download the document.
  • Preview Document (for PDFs only) - preview the document in the browser.
  • View Folders Filed In - Click to view the Document Folders window. In this window, workflow folders that this document was added to appears.
  • Add/View Notes - Click to view the Document Notes window. See Adding and Viewing Document Notes for more information.
  • Check Out Document - Click to download the document and lock it so no other user can work on the document. See Performing a Document Check In and Out for more information.
  • Check in New Version - Click to view the Add New Version window where you can overwrite the existing document with a new version. See Performing a Document Check In and Out for more information.
  • Modify Index - Click to view the Modify Document Indexes window. See Modifying Document Indexes for more information.
  • Modify Security - Click to view the Modify Document Security window. See Modifying Document Security Settings for more information.
  • Make Ready-Only - Click to view the Confirm Make Read Only window. See Making Document Read-Only for more information.
  • Copy Document - Click to create another copy of the document in the system.  This will open a screen where indexes for the new copy of the document can be modified.
  • Delete Document - Click to delete a document.
  • E-mail Link and Document Attachment - Click to download an email message (.msg). Double-click the downloaded message to view it in Outlook. The email message contains the PDF attachment and a link to the document within QAction. Enter an email address in the To field before clicking Send.
  • View Link - Click to view the View Link window. In this window, select the link in the text field and press CTRL + C to copy the link.
  • View Collections - Click to view the Document Collections window. See Document Collections for more information.
  • Add to Collection - Click to view the Select Collection window. See Document Collections for more information.
